Olive Lee State Park : This state park is the site of an early American Apache Stronghold. There are 50 campsites. Within Oliver Lee Memorial State Park is the restored Dog Canyon Ranch House of Oliver Lee, early pioneer of the cattle era.
Sacramento Peak Observatory : Sunsport, NM - This is a national center of ground-based operations of the sun. There are daily self-guided tours and guided tours on Saturdays during the summer. Visitors enjoy spectacular views of the Tularosa Basin.
